Les Souliers Rouges
The Red Shoes
Based on the Hans Christian Anderson Tale

The adaptation of the famous Hans Christian Andersen’s tale recounts Isabelle’s story, a young girl, pure of heart goes
to Paris in hopes of accomplishing her dream of becoming an Opera Prima Ballerina. Victor – a renowned choreographer, hungry for glory, has made the daring decision to put on the cursed ballet, “The Red Shoes” (Les Souliers Rouges). Because of this decision, the devil and his Shadows have begun to haunt the corridors of the Opera House and have hidden a pair of red shoes, which carry a curse: “The one that may wear these shoes will know glory, but must renounce love, otherwise evil and despair will ensue.” Tirelessly, Victor looks for his heroine and finds Isabelle. He realizes she is naive and willing to do anything to accomplish her dream, therefore becoming his Prima Ballerina in this cursed ballet. The ballet is a huge success, but Victor knows the devil and his Shadows will not let him live his success so easily. And rightly so, the Shadows push Ben, a young and handsome journalist, to fall in love with Isabelle, putting her and everyone at risk...
